(ANSA) – SELLIA MARINA, NOV 26 – Bruises on a woman’s face, a bloody hand of the attacker, a messed up house and a terrified child. This is the scenario that presented itself before the eyes of the Carabinieri of Sellia Marina when they intervened in a house where a young woman had just suffered an attack by her ex-partner, a 43-year-old unemployed already known for specific facts. The military immediately made the security measures provided for in these cases available to the woman and her child by activating the “red code” to protect victims of gender-based violence.
The carabinieri listened to the victim and together they reconstructed in detail the entire excursus of violence, threats and insults that the woman, for years, had been forced to suffer by her former partner, and which had degenerated even more when she was determined to end their relationship by deciding to terminate their cohabitation. The carabinieri then declared the 43-year-old under arrest for maltreatment in the family. (HANDLE).
