(ANSA) – ROME, NOV 26 – The funeral of the victims of the massacre that took place in Sassuolo last Wednesday, in via Manin, took place this morning in a sanctuary in the ceramic district between Modena and Reggio Emilia, in a strictly private Nabil Dhahri killed his partner, his two and five year old children and his mother-in-law before killing himself. About thirty people took part in the farewell to 43-year-old Elisa Mulas, to the children, Ismaele and Sami, and to Simonetta Fontana, 64.
In the same funeral ceremony also the last farewell to the 97-year-old great-grandfather Renzo Fontana, present at home during the massacre and who died a few days ago in a structure. All the bodies were buried in the new cemetery of Sassuolo and the expenses for the funeral are borne by the Sassuolo municipal administration.
In agreement with the family, the municipal administration has proclaimed a day of city mourning for Monday, November 29, the day on which a mass in suffrage for the victims will be held in San Giorgio at 7 pm. flags displayed at half mast or mourning on municipal, provincial, regional and state buildings in the area; the municipal administration itself, through a note ,. suggests a minute of recollection in all private offices, production activities and homes and asks the exhibitors of the historic center to keep the shutters lowered at 19 to coincide with the start of mass.
