The indictments in the case of fake covid certificates of ex-People’s Deputy Nadezhda Savchenko and her sister Vera were returned to the prosecutor. Savchenko wrote about this on her Facebook page.
“The indictments with accusations of Nadezhda Savchenko and Vera Savchenko” of forging certificates “were returned to the prosecutor for correction, due to official forgery of documents and falsification of case materials by the prosecutor’s office!” – she wrote.
According to her, it turns out that those who accused her and her sister of forging documents, the same documents were forged.
She noted that human rights in Ukraine, violated by the quarantine actions of the authorities during the coronavirus pandemic, will be restored only when Ukrainians learn to defend themselves against arbitrariness by knowing the laws of Ukraine and relying on the Constitution of Ukraine!
“Do not lose any tools to protect your rights! Sign the petition to the President of Ukraine drawn up during a rally against human rights violations, which took place on November 3, 2021, near the Verkhovna Rada and the President’s Office!”
Scandal with COVID certificates
- On October 22, at the Boryspil airport, the Savchenko sisters were caught on fake COVID certificates when they tried to return to Ukraine. The documents were taken for examination, and the investigators are preparing suspicions for both – criminal proceedings have been opened.
- On the same day, Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky, speaking in the Verkhovna Rada, threatened Savchenko with liability for the forged document. He promised that they would be dealt with strictly according to the law.
- According to Article 358 of the Criminal Code (according to which a case was opened against the Savchenko sisters), a fine of up to 850 hryvnia or restriction of freedom for up to two years is provided for the use of fake certificates or certificates. For the production and sale of fake documentation, offenders may face a fine of 17 thousand hryvnia or up to 5 years in prison.
- Savchenko herself justified herself for a fake certificate, they say, this is not an official document for crossing the border.
- Later, the Savchenko sisters were handed a suspicion for fake COVID certificates.
