“State without cuts” – the main from the annual message of Zelensky to the Rada

Not a word about the coup. Speaking from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada, the approaches to which were blocked by police battalions, Zelensky never said anything about the coup, which he himself had announced earlier on December 1. Although this is what many would like to hear from him. Equally important and other topics, which the head of state decided to bypass.

So, Zelensky did not pay special attention to the topic de-oligarchization bill, of which he is the initiator. On the contrary, the president said that “the topic of oligarchs for him is minor and not the main one“.

“For the first time, we began a systematic struggle with the oligarchs. Someone will say:“ It’s right to speak not with, but against the oligarchs, ”and I’ll say – it’s right not to speak, but to do it. And I am sure that Ukraine will win in this struggle. But I don’t want to end my speech with this particular topic, the topic of oligarchs. I don’t want to talk about small things at the end. I want to talk about the main thing, about the state without decorations, without cuts. “, – said Zelensky.

The President also noted that only the army can protect Ukraine from an external threat, but at the same time said that he was ready to hold a direct conversation on this topic with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Not without blunders. During his speech, Zelensky said that our children will be able to buy their own life in Ukraine, meaning their own housing.

What has already been done

So, among what has already been done by the authorities in Ukraine, the president noted:

• the minimum wage increased to UAH 6,500;
• 13,000 km of roads were built;
• in relations with the EU, more than 60% of the agreements have been fulfilled, with 25% this year alone;
• for the youth of the occupied Crimea and Donbass, education in Ukraine is available without ZNO;
• Ukraine became the first country to introduce digital passports and driver’s licenses. From today, a service is being introduced to change the place of registration online;
• already now FOP can be opened in 10 minutes;
• indexation of pensions and supplements to them is carried out;
• The summit “Crimean Platform” was held and the issue of Crimea was put on the international agenda.

What to do

Among the plans for the near future, the head of state highlighted:

• 15,000 km of roads, 810 bridges and bridge crossings will be built in 2 years;
• by December 10, a bill on the economic passport of a Ukrainian will be introduced. According to him, money from the use and extraction of mineral resources will accumulate on the accounts of children. After reaching the age of majority, they will be able to use the money for education or purchase of housing in Ukraine;
• the first plant for the production of military drones will be built in Ukraine;
• a bill on dual citizenship will be submitted to the Rada;
• airports will be built in 16 cities of Ukraine;
• citizens will be able to obtain affordable loans at 5%;
• from January 1, the salary of doctors will be 24 thousand hryvnia;
• GDP for the first time will exceed $ 190 billion, national debt will be below 50% of GDP.
