Arctic cold and snow at low altitudes on weekends

Vaccines, Melons:

Still bad weather, still heavy rains, more snow and still a new Arctic irruption that points our country. Andrea Garbinato, site editor www.iLMeteo.it gives no hope for stable and sunny weather for several days.

In these hours impetuous Libeccio winds are pushing an intense disturbance on the western regions of Italy. Sardinia, eastern Liguria, Tuscany, Lazio, Campania are affected by heavy rains that could become even stronger especially on Lazio and Campania.

The disturbed system has managed to push itself, at least temporarily, also to the Northeast where it rains on Emilia Romagna, Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia. The snow will fall widespread on the Apennines at altitudes above 1200 meters. If on Friday the bad weather moves to the rest of the Center and much of the South, over the weekend yet another Arctic raid will once again worsen the weather in many regions. From Saturday afternoon the new deterioration will begin to take place on Sardinia and then once again on Tuscany, Lazio and Campania and then also reach Campania and Calabria. On Sunday, the cold air will spread further over the Mediterranean basin, generating a vortex that from the Ligurian Sea will quickly move towards the upper Adriatic and then slide towards the south.

The weather will be very unstable on the Triveneto where the snow can fall up to hilly altitudes, in the very first hours even in the plains on some stretches of Emilia. Bad weather on the central-southern Tyrrhenian with showers, local thunderstorms and snowfall on the Apennines which in the evening will drop below 900 meters above sea level. This Arctic outbreak will mark the beginning of a major drop in temperatures across all regions; from next week the daytime thermal values will not exceed 5-6 ° C in the North, 8 ° C in the Center (as in Rome and Florence) and no more than 11 ° C in the South.
