Covid: out of danger in Naples, child with severe pneumonia

(ANSA) – NAPLES, DEC 05 – The 11-year-old boy, admitted to the Santobono hospital in Naples with severe Covid pneumonia and subsequently intubated in the intensive care unit directed by Dr. Geremia Zito Marinosci, was extubated, breathes spontaneously and is considered out of danger. This was announced by the general management of the Santobono-Pausilipon hospital. Tomorrow he will celebrate, together with the staff of the ward who assisted him in these difficult days, the birthday that he was unable to celebrate precisely because of Covid.

In the next few days, the little patient will be transferred to the complex Respiratory Physiopathology Unit of the Monaldi hospital, directed by Dr. Giuseppe Fiorentino, who supported the Santobono team in assistance, to continue with a respiratory rehabilitation program.
