President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated the military on their professional holiday – the 30th anniversary of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He stated that the Ukrainian army has become highly organized and is ready to repulse the enemy. This was reported by the press service of the OPU.
He recalled that in fact, the real history of the development of the Ukrainian army reaches several centuries.
“Having absorbed the best national military traditions formed in the difficult, bloody wars and armed conflicts of the past, the Ukrainian army during its recent history has gone a difficult path towards the formation of a capable and highly organized military structure, confident in its strength and capable of breaking any aggressive plans of the enemy. On the day of the professional holiday, the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to carry out their most important mission – to protect the freedom and sovereignty of the state from the Russian aggressor “, Says Zelensky.
The President thanked the military and war veterans for their selfless service, fortitude and heroism in the defense of Ukraine. He also did not forget for the heroes who died.
“On this day, we bow before the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine. Their feat will live forever and serve as an example of honest and selfless service to the motherland. I am convinced that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will continue to reliably defend the freedom and independence of our state.”, – summed up the head of state.
