Poroshenko preparing suspicion in the Medvedchuk case? Venediktova responded to rumors

During her visit to the United States, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Irina Venediktova said that while there are no new procedural decisions regarding the former President of Ukraine, the People’s Deputy from the “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko.

There are no such procedural decisions today. I saw what the media wrote, but this was commented on by a person who has not worked in the Prosecutor General’s Office for more than a year and a half. Therefore, let him, probably, comment further on what he meant and where did he get this information “Said Venediktov.

Let us recall that according to the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, procedural decisions are all decisions of the bodies of pre-trial investigation, the prosecutor, the investigating judge, the court.

What is known?

• Former Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine, lawyer Viktor Trepak said on December 4 that in the near future the Office of the Prosecutor General may bring Poroshenko’s suspicion in the framework of the case on coal supplies from CADLO, in which also includes the People’s Deputy from the “Opposition Platform – For Life” Viktor Medvedchuk.
• The possibility of opening a new proceeding against Poroshenko and an attempt to arrest him next week was also announced on the air of one of the TV channels by the ex-Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko. He did not specify what exactly the politician could be accused of.
• The European Solidarity party stated that the prosecution of Poroshenko is beneficial to President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Earlier we reported that in early October, Putin’s godfather (Viktor Medvedchuk) was informed of a new suspicion – he was charged with high treason and assistance to terrorist organizations (“LPR” / “DPR”).

We also recall that at the beginning of this year, the NSDC imposed sanctions against the people’s deputy Viktor Medvedchuk, his wife Oksana Marchenko and the assets they own.
