Pietro Parolin, Vatican Secretary of State, closed today the Holy Door of the Lauretan Jubilee, granted by Pope Francis in 2019 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the Madonna di Loreto Universal Patroness of all aeronauts, and extended by one year due to the pandemic.
In his homily, the cardinal recalled that two days ago on the day of the Immaculate Conception Pope Francis mentioned the Lauretan Jubilee in the Angelus, associating the closing of the Holy Door with the recent closing of the year dedicated to Saint Joseph.
