(ANSA) – MILAN, DEC 10 – The carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Mantua arrested a 54-year-old man seriously suspected of the murder of his 73-year-old mother-in-law, in Roverbella, in the Mantua area. The woman was found lifeless yesterday evening in her house and the 118 staff contacted the carabinieri to report a suspicious death.
The findings, the on-site intervention of the prosecutor on duty and the coroner made it possible to establish, within a few hours, that the death could not be compatible with an illness or with an accidental fall, as it initially seemed, but rather for injuries inflicted by another person.
After having listened to the relatives and carried out the feedback thanks to the analysis of some CCTV cameras in the area, it was possible to reconstruct the hours preceding the death of the old woman.
The man is now in the Mantua Prison at the disposal of the judicial authority. (HANDLE).
