Irina Gerashchenko confused Poroshenko with Zelensky – everyone laughed (video)

The People’s Deputy from “European Solidarity” Irina Gerashchenko, speaking from the rostrum of parliament, made a reservation and called the fifth President of Petro Poroshenko Vladimir Zelensky.

“In 2019, the Verkhovna Rada, thanks to the initiative and leadership of President Zelensky … President Poroshenko was consolidated in parliament ….” – she said, not having time to finish, as the whole audience began to laugh and applaud.

Scandals with Gerashchenko

• On December 13, 2020, a scandal broke out between blogger Sergei Leshchenko and deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the European Solidarity party Irina Gerashchenko. Once a member of the supervisory board of the state joint-stock company “Ukrainian Railway” Leshchenko pointed out to the People’s Deputy that the taxpayers of Ukraine pay her for the work of a legislator, and not a participant in television broadcasts.
• On February 16, Aleksey Arestovich entered into a skirmish with the People’s Deputy from the “European Solidarity” Irina Gerashchenko on the air. She accused him of sexism and unexpectedly left the studio.
• Arestovich accused the EU of lying about the situation at the front and said that this political force is openly working against the information security of the state.
• Earlier Gerashchenko had a fight with showman Sergei Prytula because of Bankova. He offered the People’s Deputy a bottle of Georgian cognac, and in response he heard that her Facebook page was not a corporate party.
• On November 5, Irina Gerashchenko, on the proposal of the head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, was offered to be deprived of the right to participate in five sessions of parliament because of her speech in 2019. In September of that year, she compared the MPs from the mono-majority to the “green men” who seized the Crimea.
