Covid: Marche, 682 cases in 24 hours, incidence rises to 267.28

(ANSA) – ANCONA, 17 DEC – On the last day 682 cases of coronavirus positivity, with the incidence rising again, from 263.88 to 267.28 in the Marche which will be in the yellow zone from Monday 20 December. The data is communicated by the Marche epidemiological observatory. The province of Ancona flies over 300 cases per day (320), followed by Macerata (117), Pesaro Urbino (80), Fermo (79), Ascoli Piceno (64): 22 cases from outside the region. Infections distributed in all age groups with peaks in those between 25-44 years (194) and between 45-59 years (174); 174 cases for young people between 0-18 years.

There are 161 people with symptoms: cases include 163 close positive contacts, 208 domestic contacts, 19 in a school / training setting, 4 in a work setting, 8 contacts in a living / social environment, one each in a care and health setting; an epidemiological study is underway for another 219 infections. The swabs performed are 6,741 of which 3,985 in the diagnostic screening path and 2,756 in the path cured (17.1% positive), in addition to 2,067 antigenic (302 positive).

The Region also provides hospitalizations in proportion between vaccinated and unvaccinated, respectively 23% and 77% of those in the Intensive, and 40% and 60% in the Medical Area. The incidence of hospitalizations per 100 thousand unvaccinated is, however, 5.7 in the Intensive compared to 0.64 among vaccinated. Meanwhile, in the Marche region, from 22 November, 226,252 people have been booked for the third ‘booster’ dose of anti-Covid vaccination. (HANDLE).
