(ANSA) – MANTOVA, DEC 20 – He did not stop at the halt of a local police patrol, but shortly after, pursued by the traffic police, he crashed into a van and died. It happened this morning in Pozzolo, in the Municipality of Marmirolo, in the province of Mantua.
A man, already known to the police, this morning at 9 as he was crossing Roverbella, passed in front of a local police checkpoint without respecting the warning of halt. The result was a chase that ended a few kilometers later in Pozzolo: the car hit the front of a van as soon as it came out of a side street. The 37-year-old driver of the car died shortly after the arrival of help, while the driver of the commercial vehicle, a 47-year-old, was seriously injured and was transported by air ambulance to the Mantua hospital.
