Poroshenko “shines” 15 years in prison – what he is suspected of

The fifth President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, was informed about suspicion of committing high treason and assisting the activities of terrorist organizations. This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation.

The report notes that they are currently investigating criminal proceedings for organizing a criminal scheme for supplying coal from the temporarily occupied territories and assisting terrorist organizations of the so-called “LPR” and “DPR” by a group of Ukrainian citizens for a total of about 1.5 billion hryvnia.

Poroshenko is suspected that he, acting by prior conspiracy by a group of persons, including representatives of the top leadership of the Russian Federation, contributed to the activities of the terrorist organizations “LPR” and “DPR”.

In September-November 2021, in this production, the suspicion was already reported to another of the current MPs and the former Minister of Energy.

“Poroshenko is suspected of buying coal in CADLO for state funds. According to the investigation, by their actions the persons involved in the production have made the country’s energy sector dependent on Russia and terrorist organizations. Which, in turn, undermined the economic security of the state in 2014-2015, deprived of opportunities to diversify sources of supply of energy resources, and also provided the Russian Federation with wider opportunities for further interference in the internal affairs of Ukraine and conducting subversive activities against it, “the SBR noted.

Production is carried out h. 1 and h. 3 Art. 258-5 (financing of terrorism), part 1 of art. 111 (high treason) and Part 1 of Art. 258-3 (assistance to the activities of a terrorist organization) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The sanctions of the above articles provide for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 15 years with or without confiscation of property.

Due to the impossibility of serving a written notice of suspicion, it was personally delivered in the manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code (sent to the place of residence, registration, as well as to the place of work).

Now the question of choosing a preventive measure for Poroshenko is being decided.

Background

• In May, the journalists of the Bihus.Info project published the first part of the investigation, which is based on the recordings of telephone conversations of Viktor Medvedchuk, a suspect in high treason. In conversations with them, Medvedchuk repeatedly refers to the fact that the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin were instructed to negotiate and play the role of mediator. However, there are no recordings of conversations with either Poroshenko or Putin in the material.
• On October 8, People’s Deputy from the PLO and Putin’s godfather Viktor Medvedchuk was informed of a new suspicion – he was charged with high treason and assistance to the activities of the “LPR” / “DPR” terrorist organizations.
• On the same day, the head of the Security Service, Ivan Bakanov, said that law enforcement officers would check the involvement of the fifth president, Petro Poroshenko, and the former head of the National Bank, Valeria Gontareva, in this case.
• On December 17, Petro Poroshenko decided to ignore the request of investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation to receive a summons for interrogation in the case of coal trade with CADLO and fled from them in a car, shouting words very similar to profanity.
