(ANSA) – MONTORIO AL VOMANO, DEC 27 – Dinners prohibited in restaurants and closing of bars at 10.30pm. This is what was ordered by Fabio Altitonante, mayor of Montorio al Vomano, in the Teramo area, for the night of New Year’s Eve, throughout the municipal area, “as a precaution, considering the increase in infections throughout the province”. Aware of the fact that “we are asking for new sacrifices to restaurateurs”, the mayor stresses that the decision was reached after a meeting with all the managers of the local Montorii restaurants.
“We have chosen an attitude of utmost caution – says the mayor – Great sense of responsibility: this is the attitude that has prevailed in Montorio among all restaurateurs. I thank everyone for their understanding. The certainty that Montorio businesses have today is that Municipality will not leave them alone to face other missed collections. All those who have already faced expenses for the dinner and will have losses caused by this ordinance will receive a contribution from the Municipality “.
From the mayor, then, an appeal to citizens: “even in our homes we pay attention, only in this way will we soon return to a normal life, after many sacrifices and after the human lives broken by Covid in our community, today we cannot afford to act in a way superficial”. (HANDLE).
