Covid: Lombardy, new buffer centers ready for opening

Attacco in Myanmar, Save the Children:

(ANSA) – MILAN, DEC 27 – From Wednesday 29 December a new massive buffer center will be active in Gallarate (Varese), while 8 new buffer lines have been added at the Trenno center in Milan and a new center is being set up tampons at Fiera Milano City which will be active in the next few days. These are the first results of the work of the tampons task force to identify any contagion from Covid, set up by the vice president of the Lombardy Region Letizia Moratti.

The task force led by Guido Grignaffini met this morning providing the first urgent initiatives, such as the expansion of the number of buffer points. Furthermore, all the ASSTs have been invited to activate schedules dedicated to swabs at their collection centers, while the Welfare Directorate General will send a letter to general practitioners and pediatricians to sensitize them about the need to directly carry out swabs to their patients, avoiding their useless and sometimes risky movements.

“We asked the pharmacies – explains Grignaffini – the willingness to extend the evening hours of the tampon service and to dedicate some specific hours to citizens who need a tampon following close contacts”.

In December about 3.5 million tampons were performed in Lombardy, 21.5% of all tampons administered in Italy. (HANDLE).
