(ANSA) – TURIN, 27 DEC – No judicial persecution and no unequal treatment against Angelo Burzi, the former Piedmont regional councilor who shot himself to death in Turin on Christmas Eve. Thus the Attorney General Francesco Saluzzo responds in a note to the positions taken by numerous politicians. Burzi was among the defendants in the Refborsopoli case, reporting a conviction on appeal. “The action of these offices – he writes after reviewing Burzi’s procedural position – is rigorously anchored to constitutional principles and guarantees, impartiality and absolute independence”.
Then of course – continues the magistrate – the voice and the heavy hand of the law (of that law written by the same people who today point to the scandal) must also be accepted when the rules are violated “. The exhortation is to use” greater prudence in making and conveying statements that discredit and could also constitute insult to the judicial order “. (ANSA).
