Weather: African giant arrives, it will bring heat on New Year’s Eve

Turin, gives birth during a brain surgery:

An anomalous African anticyclone is arriving in Italy that will bring heat in the next few days on the central and southern regions with temperatures that may even reach 20-21 ° C in Sardinia and Sicily. He will reach Italy tomorrow, after having also crossed the Iberian Peninsula, and will stay on Italy until after the New Year.
Meanwhile, in the next few hours the last perturbation of the year 2021 will hit the South above all. This is said by Stefano Ghetti, meteorologist of the site www.iLMeteo.it. According to the expert, today the rains will mainly concern the southern regions, resulting more consistent between Calabria and Tyrrhenian Sicily, elsewhere the weather will be drier, but the widespread and often compact cloudiness will prevent the sun from warming the atmosphere. While from Wednesday and especially in the following days until after the New Year, a large anticyclonic field of sub-tropical origin will reach Italy from Africa. However, the high pressure in winter, Ghetti warns, is not always synonymous with good weather and sun, in fact low clouds and fogs will return to the North, as well as in some areas of the Center and locally as well on the southern coasts. On the reliefs and the rest of the sectors, however, the sun will be the only protagonist of the next few days. It is important to know that the African “bubble” at about 1500 meters has a temperature of almost 15 ° C (a rather anomalous value for the end of December), a measure that will be easily reached and even exceeded during the day in the central and southern regions and locally also in the alpine valleys (expected almost 17 ° C in Rome and up to 20-21 ° C in Sardinia and Sicily). In the north, on the other hand, due to either fog or overcast skies, temperatures will not exceed 7-9 ° C. (HANDLE).
