The protagonist of the story is a 58-year-old Campobassano who should have returned to his cell in Castelfranco Emilia (Modena) after a free leave for Christmas, but he did not. He was subjected to the home-work security measure in the Emilian prison. After the note issued from the prison because he had not returned, the searches started and the 58-year-old was tracked down by the men of the Campobasso Mobile Squad.
To escape control, he simulated having covid symptoms. The police warned the regional health authority that subjected the man to the swab, which was negative. The 58-year-old is now imprisoned in the prison of the Molise capital.
