Killed and cut to pieces mother: died after assault in the cell

(ANSA) – NAPLES, 08 JAN – Eduardo Chiarolanza, the man suffering from psychiatric problems who last September admitted to having killed and torn apart his 84-year-old mother, Eleonora Di Vicino, in the Pianura district of Naples, died last year night in the Cardarelli hospital where he was hospitalized.

Chiarolanza had ended up in hospital following an assault ten days ago in the Poggioreale prison at the hands of the other psychiatric inmate with whom he shared the cell. The death of Chiarolanza, although it occurred in a Covid ward of the Neapolitan hospital, would, according to what has been learned, be attributable to the deep head injuries caused by a blunt instrument, it would seem a stool. Several times the trade unions of the Penitentiary Police have spoken out against the very problematic management in prisons of prisoners afflicted by psychiatric problems. (HANDLE).
