This was announced by the coordinator of the vaccination campaign in Lombardy Guido Bertolaso, explaining that the trial will be launched “also to facilitate the new category that has the obligation to book, namely the over 50s”. The center, he added, “will also be open at night, without the need for a reservation. We will do it on an experimental basis in Sesto San Giovanni, then if there is availability of staff and demand, we will continue to increase this activity”.
“Finally we can give the third dose to the category of young people who were excluded for the moment, those aged 12 to 15. In fact we are already vaccinating them today with the third dose, even if we should have started tomorrow”, added Bertolaso. on the sidelines of the visit to the hub dedicated to pediatric vaccinations at the Milan Fair.
In Lombardy, Bertolaso recalled, “a few days ago we broke the record of over 20 million vaccinations, with more than 4.5 million third doses already administered. We will administer another two million by the end of January.
