An act of vandalism canceled in record time thanks to the intervention of the men of the Civil Protection (numerous volunteers present) from the Agrigento offices, who worked in collaboration with the Municipality of Realmonte and the Superintendence for Cultural Heritage of Agrugento. The red material dispersed on the white cliff was powdered iron oxide: to remove it, it was necessary to vacuum it from the surface on which it had been deposited. Satisfaction was expressed by the regional head of Civil Protection Salvo Cocina. Angela Roberto, president of the Agrigento branch of Archeoclub D’Italia, also thanks both the numerous volunteers who participated in the cleaning operations and the technicians of the Superintendency.
