With regard to the type of 166 reports analyzed by the Cun, 30% consisted of sightings of Starlink satellites; 28% unidentified night lights at high altitudes; 9% reflections due to photographic and / or video errors; 7% of aircraft or helicopters mistaken for UFOs; 6% Chinese lanterns or toy balls; 5% sighting of unidentified high-altitude daytime objects or spheres; 4% sightings of drones; 4% disco headlights, playful lights and hunting flares; 3% stars, planets and meteors; 2% sounding balloons; 2% false sightings. The month with the most UFO sightings was May, with 40, followed by March (25), July (20), June and August (16 each month), October (10), April (9), January and February (8 ). Few reports in the months of September, November and December. The regions with the most reports were Veneto, with 26, Lombardy (24) and Lazio (15), followed by Tuscany (13), Campania and Sicily (12 each), Puglia (10), Emilia Romagna and Piedmont ( 9), Liguria (7), Abruzzo, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Trentino Alto Adige (5), Calabria, Marche and Basilicata (3), Sardinia and Umbria (2), Molise (1).
