(ANSA) – BARI, 12 JAN – He hid 25 kilos of heroin in the trunk of his car and in the garage. A 34-year-old from Noicattaro, in the Bari area, was arrested red-handed by the carabinieri for detention for the purpose of drug dealing.
During a check on the provincial 111, the military stopped a car and, as a result of the search of the vehicle, they found a large cellophane wrapper with 24 loaves inside, containing 12 kg of heroin. The search was then extended to the 34-year-old’s home, where, with a canine unit, the carabinieri found a further 26 packs of heroin, for a total of 13 kg, hidden inside the garage. Also in the house, the necessary material for cutting and packaging the drug was found.
The 34-year-old, arrested in the act, was transferred to the Brindisi prison. (HANDLE).
