(ANSA) – AOSTA, 15 JAN – Among the regions and autonomous provinces, Valle d’Aosta has the primacy of territory with the highest number of reported cases of Covid-19, in relation to the population, since the beginning of the pandemic. From the extended report of the Higher Institute of Health (Iss), updated to January 12 and which integrates the weekly monitoring on Covid, it emerges in fact that the cumulative incidence in the small Alpine region is 17,702.09 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants. The highest values then belong to the province of Bolzano (17,444.7), Veneto (16,963.75) and Lombardy (16,457.05).
In absolute numbers, according to the ISS report, as of 12 January last there were 21,932 cases of Covid registered in Valle d’Aosta since the beginning of the health emergency, the second lowest value (only Molise, with 20,205 infected, boasts a lower figure). (HANDLE).
