(ANSA) – TRIESTE, 16 JAN – A long procession of about three hundred people made up almost all of boys, many with candles and placards with affectionate writings, and a banner in particular: “Justice for Robert Trajkovic” with the photo of the seventeen year old who with his hands he makes the sign of the heart. It is the torchlight procession that took place starting this afternoon first in front of the church of San Giacomo, and then in a procession parading through some streets of the center, opened by Robert’s parents, destroyed by grief with their mother in tears, and the rest of the large family. .
On the square in front of the square, an uncle of the victim spoke into the microphone for a few moments, stressing that Robert wanted to spend the New Year with the rest of the family in the Balkans. A choice that was not recommended to him, however, because many in the family were affected by Covid at that time. “If it hadn’t been for Covid, perhaps Robert would still be alive”, said an uncle, then thanking “from the bottom of his heart” all the friends of his nephew, the community and the people of Trieste and all those who are working hard to help the Trajkovic family. “I hope there will be justice” he finally concluded, the same sentence pronounced by one of Robert’s brothers.
Subsequently, those present left in the procession, parading in silence. On a sign was written “Our dear son your smile is what we needed and needed in life. Your future was our joy, you were a boy to be desired, you were a golden boy”, to conclude. with the phrase “Rest in peace my angel”. (HANDLE).
