People’s Deputy Sofia Fedina said that people are not allowed to participate in a peaceful rally
Supporters of the fifth president, Petro Poroshenko, are not given the opportunity to get to the Kiev airport in Zhuliany to meet the politician from the flight from Warsaw. Sofia Fedina, a people’s deputy from the European Solidarity party, complained about this on her Telegram channel.
“Cancellation of electric trains to Zhuliany, cancellation of trains from the regions, intimidation of laboratories that do tests. The police massively set up posts at the entrances to Kiev, the administration calls people and intimidates them with sanctions. Yanukovych is squared or even cubed …
P.S. inform, what kind of insanity have the authorities come up with to prevent people from coming to Kiev to meet Petro Poroshenko?” she wrote.
“They put pressure on carriers”
Fedina also said that Poroshenko’s supporters are not allowed to leave Ivano-Frankivsk for a rally in his support.
“In recent days, representatives of the European Solidarity party in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, activists and transporters who plan to come to the rally in support of Petro Poroshenko have received reservations and threats.
In particular, carriers are strongly advised to refuse to participate in the trip if they want to keep their transport intact,” she said.
Fedina believes that the authorities act in the same way as during the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych, when the Maidan began.
“It is obvious that President Zelensky is afraid of a mass rally of Ukrainians in support of opposition leader Petro Poroshenko. It is the security forces under his control that are doing everything to prevent the participation of Ukrainians from the regions in the action. This is reminiscent of a return to the worst times of the Yanukovych regime, when the security forces did everything possible to Ukrainians could not get to the Maidan,” the deputy said.
On behalf of the territorial organization “Eurosolidarity” she demanded to stop the pressure on those wishing to go to the action and carriers.
People complain: detained by the security forces
It also became known that in the Donetsk region, security forces detained a bus with supporters of Poroshenko. This was announced by the deputy of the Kramatorsk City Council Valery Vlasenko.
“The team of European Solidarity in the city of Kramatorsk was stopped at a checkpoint. They demand personal belongings for inspection. Why do they think that we are some kind of criminals,” he said.
The MP noted that due to this delay, activists from Kramatorsk may not be in time for the airport before the arrival of Petro Poroshenko.
Airport “mined”
Let us add that on the afternoon of January 16, the Kiev police received reports that the Kiev airport was mined in the capital, into which Petro Poroshenko arrives on Monday morning. In addition to the airport, Boryspil airport and a number of shopping and entertainment centers were “mined”, Ukrinform reported. The police checked the information.
Case against Poroshenko
- On December 20, it became known that Petro Poroshenko was announced on suspicion. Not the last role in this was played by “Medvedchuk’s tapes”. He is charged with high treason and assistance in the activities of terrorist organizations “DNR” and “LNR”. The fifth president is suspected of participating in a criminal scheme for supplying coal from the temporarily occupied territories for a total amount of about 1.5 billion hryvnias. According to the investigation, by their actions, the defendants in the production made the country’s energy sector dependent on Russia and terrorist organizations.
- On December 29, Poroshenko’s party was searched. The head of the central headquarters of the EU, Oleksandr Turchynov, told what and from whom the security forces were looking for.
- In addition, on January 6, the Kiev Pechersk Court seized all the property and assets of the chairman of the European Solidarity party and the fifth head of state, Petro Poroshenko.
- Poroshenko plans to return to Ukraine on January 17 after making a number of international visits and New Year holidays.
