(ANSA) – NAPLES, 17 JAN – Campania is now in the yellow zone. The change was decided last Friday with an order adopted by the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, in the light of the flow of data from the monitoring of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità. In the same measure, the passage of the Valle d’Aosta in orange was ordered.
The passage of Campania started following the growth of admissions in intensive care and in ordinary hospital wards. The color change essentially depends on the percentage of occupied beds but does not produce substantial changes in daily activities. As explained by the governor of Campania, Vincenzo De Luca, the substantial difference is linked to the obligation to wear an outdoor mask, which is already in force in the region, regardless of the transition from the white area to the yellow area.
