The Court accepted the defense’s request to call the former Rome prosecutor Giuseppe Pignatone, the prosecutor Eugenio Albanonte and the then deputy prosecutor Nello Rossi to testify in the courtroom.
The judges, on the other hand, did not accept the request of one of the defenses to hear the former councilor of the CSM Luca Palamara as a witness. Not even accepted by the College the defense request to record the parliamentary questions on the matter and the relative answers, including that of the deputy of the Democratic Party Carmelo Miceli to which the undersecretary of the Interior Nicola Molteni replied.
“We take note of the decision of the Court and we can only respect it. We will then evaluate the witness statements”, said the lawyer of Maurizio Improta, the lawyer Ali Abukar Hayo.
“We are satisfied that the Court of Appeal has realized the importance of listening to these witnesses”, the comment of the lawyer Ester Molinari who defends Renato Cortese. (HANDLE).
