(ANSA) – OLBIA, 25 JAN – The body of a 73-year-old man was found this morning by firefighters in an apartment in via Volterra, in Olbia.
The men of the Olbia detachment had intervened on the report of a fire that broke out before dawn in that house. The fighters quelled the flames coming from the house, which is located on the ground floor. Upon entering the apartment they found the body of the man, disabled, now lifeless.
The carabinieri of the territorial department of Olbia of the provincial command of Sassari investigate the causes of the fire. At the moment the most accredited hypothesis is that the cause of the fire was the malfunction of an electric stove. The death of the 73-year-old, on the other hand, would have been caused by the intoxication produced by the smoke that invaded the house where he slept.
