Covid: Marche; 6,152 cases in 24 hours, incidence in decline

(ANSA) – ANCONA, 27 JAN – For the first time in the Marche, as part of the latest wave of Covid-19 infections, the weekly incidence on 100 thousand inhabitants of the week (the current one) could close down compared to seven previous days. The Region’s estimate is based on the trend towards a substantial flattening of the curve: in the last day 6,152 cases were registered and the incidence on 100,000 inhabitants fell from 2691.01 to 2.640.12; a trend that suggests a decline in the data in the current week compared to the previous one.

However, the percentage of positives detected between the swabs and antigenic tests performed remains high (41.9% out of 14,667 swabs / tests); a total of 17,749 swabs analyzed, also considering those of the course healed (3,082). In the regional capital Ancona the highest number (1,836); followed by the provinces of Pesaro Urbino (1,405), Macerata (1,358), Ascoli Piceno (703), Fermo (601); 249 infected people from outside the region. Among the cases there are 629 people who experience symptoms; they include 2,453 close positive contacts, 1,354 domestic contacts, 127 in the school / training environment, 29 in the living / social environment, 2 in the work setting, 1 in care and 2 in health care. The ‘ranking’ of the most affected age groups does not change: 1,744 cases between 25-44 years, 1,439 between 45-59 years, 597 between 6 and 10 years; 14-18 years followed with 498 infected and 60-69 years (436). Above 100 the figure of the youngest children: 103 infections in the 0-2 year range. (HANDLE).
