Suspicion to the fifth president

  • Petro Poroshenko was declared suspected on December 20. He is charged with high treason and assistance in the activities of terrorist organizations “DNR” and “LNR”.
  • The fifth president is suspected of participating in a criminal scheme for the supply of coal from the temporarily occupied territories for a total amount of about 1.5 billion hryvnias.
  • On January 17, the fifth president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, flew from Warsaw to Kiev. The return of the politician was stormy. The security forces cordoned off the airport in the morning, and the politician’s supporters met him near the terminal.
  • In addition, Poroshenko’s passport was confiscated at passport control, but returned after 15 minutes. According to the politician, the situation was resolved only thanks to the large number of journalists who flew with him.
  • On January 19, the Pechersky District Court of Kiev chose a measure of restraint for the leader of the European Solidarity, Petro Poroshenko. He was released on personal bond. However, the politician’s property was arrested.
  • The prosecutor’s office asked the court to choose a measure of restraint for Petro Poroshenko in the form of arrest for a period of two months. As an alternative to arrest, prosecutors asked the court to set a bail for Poroshenko in the amount of one billion hryvnias.
  • After that, the Office of the Prosecutor General filed an appeal against the court’s decision to impose a preventive measure against the fifth President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko.
