“We see that this is a case that, in my opinion, has never been legal. On the contrary, what the Prosecutor General’s Office says. This is not some kind of routine matter, this is not the same law for all, but this is a purely political matter”– said the lawyer Ilya Novikov.

According to the lawyer, he does not know why the case materials were not brought, but he has an assumption.

“We talked about this from the very beginning – there is pressure on the Office of the Prosecutor General. The fact that Irina Venediktova left, left twice, on a one-day vacation, when it was necessary to sign Poroshenko’s suspicion and when it was necessary to agree on the petition for Poroshenko’s arrest. In the meantime, she says no, it’s all right, I completely agree with my subordinates. It’s not like that”Novikov said.
