British Prime Minister Boris Johnson postponed a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Now they will call each other on February 2 in the afternoon.

The call was canceled amid diplomatic efforts to ease tensions between Moscow and the West over a Russian troop buildup near the Ukrainian border.

Note that the call was originally scheduled for January 31, but Johnson had to reschedule it for unspecified reasons.

Johnson’s visit to Ukraine

  • On Tuesday, February 1, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson arrived in Ukraine. According to the program of the visit, the British prime minister will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
