People’s Deputy Sergei Kuzminykh asked to be expelled from the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada. The speaker of the political force, Yulia Paliychuk, wrote about this on her Telegram channel.

According to her, he sent a letter about the events with his participation and a request for exclusion to the head of the party, Elena Shulyak, and the head of the faction, David Arakhamia.

She also noted that the people’s deputy asks to exclude him for a certain period.

“The people’s deputy asks to be excluded from the membership of the faction temporarily with the possibility of returning if his innocence is proven in the manner prescribed by law,” Paliychuk said.

She noted that the statement of Sergei Kuzminykh will be considered at the next meeting of the faction. The results will be announced officially.

Speaking about party affiliation, she recalled that Kuzminykh is non-partisan and did not join the Servant of the People party.

Sergey Kuzminykh was born in Zhitomir in 1983.

He studied at the Zhytomyr Military Institute named after S.P. Korolev, specializing in systems engineering. Later he became an entrepreneur and chairman of the Kuzmin Brothers International Charitable Foundation.

Since 2019 – people’s deputy in the Verkhovna Rada of the IX convocation. Kuzminykh is a member of the National Health, Medical Assistance and Medical Insurance Committee in Parliament.

In addition, he is the brother of a well-known Ukrainian military man, one of the “cyborgs”, Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Kuzminykh, who commanded a “cyborg” unit and was captured by pro-Russian militants on January 20, 2015.
