(ANSA) – TRIESTE, 06 FEB – The Slovenian citizen motorist who yesterday entered the Trieste motorway junction (RA13) in the wrong direction colliding with a car that was proceeding in the right direction and whose driver is dead, would have traveled tens of kilometers, maybe thirty, in the wrong direction. Probably already in Sesana (Sezana, Slovenia) he would have started the wrong maneuver. He, a 49-year-old man, born in Koper (Capodistria) but, apparently, residing in the Comeno area (Komen, Slovenia), a few kilometers from the Fernetti border, was driving a dark-colored minivan seems to be proceeding to very fast speed, 150, maybe even 170 kilometers per hour.
In the head-on collision in the overtaking lane on the Trieste ring road, at Duino (Trieste), the car that was proceeding in the right direction caught fire and the driver died charred.
