Worker falls from the scaffolding and a suspect dies in Ravenna

(ANSA) – RAVENNA, 06 FEB – A 52-year-old bricklayer of Romanian origin, Vasile Burcut, died following an accident at work which occurred in a construction site in via Carso in Ravenna.

The incident dates back to about 3pm last Friday, but the news only spread in the last few hours. In addition to the 118 operators, the inspectors of the Occupational Medicine of the Ausl, the carabinieri of the main station of the Romagna city and the PM on duty Lucrezia Ciriello also intervened.

The area was seized for all the relevant findings. At the same time, the prosecutor opened a file for manslaughter and ordered an autopsy on the basis of which a person was reached by a notice of guarantee. According to what has been found so far, the bricklayer was working together with some colleagues on the redevelopment of three apartments inside a building when, for reasons still under consideration, he fell from one of the levels (perhaps the third) of the scaffolding, falling to the ground after a flight of 4-5 meters at least. At the moment, no obvious violations related to the fall of man have been found. (HANDLE).
