Covid: another 2 deaths and 600 new positives in South Tyrol

(ANSA) – BOLZANO, 07 FEB – Two more deaths from the pandemic in South Tyrol, while for the second consecutive day the number of Covid-19 patients hospitalized in the medical area increases significantly. The two new victims of the infection, according to the provincial health authority, are an over 80 and an over 90. The total deaths since the beginning of the health emergency thus rises to 1,367.

The new positive cases ascertained in the last 24 hours are 600: of these 23 were detected on the basis of 304 PCR swabs (89 of which new tests) and 577 on the basis of 5,328 antigen tests.

There are 139 Covid-19 patients admitted to normal hospital wards, eleven more than yesterday. 11 patients are assisted in intensive care (one less). In addition, 93 patients (data updated as of January 31st) are hospitalized in the affiliated private facilities, while 38 patients are in isolation in the Colle Isarco facility.

The number of people in quarantine or in home isolation continues to decrease: they are 19,282 (2,185 fewer). The people declared recovered in the last 24 hours are 1,995, for a total of 156,277. (HANDLE).
