Ielo first witness in the Palamara-Fava trial in Perugia

(ANSA) – PERUGIA, 10 FEB – The deputy prosecutor of Rome Paolo Ielo will be the first witness, cited by the prosecution, to be heard by the court of Perugia (February 16) in the trial that sees the former Roman magistrate Stefano Rocco accused Fava and the former councilor of the CSM Luca Palamara for disclosure of office secrecy. This is what emerged from today’s hearing.

About forty witnesses indicated by the Public Prosecutor of the Umbrian capital, by the defense of the accused and by the civil parties. Admitted by the college at the end of the examination of the preliminary exceptions. Among these, in fact, also Ielo who in the proceeding was a civil party, represented by the lawyer Filippo Dinacci, against Fava alone.

The court also rejected the objection of nullity of the decree which orders the judgment proposed by the defense. He then declared the trial open and assessed the parties’ inquiries.

Among other things, an interception carried out with the trojan on May 16, 2019 between Palamara and Fava is allowed. According to the latter’s defense, “the decisive proof that proves his innocence” emerges from the interview.

At the end of the hearing Palamara and Fava made spontaneous statements to reiterate their extraneousness to the accusations. (HANDLE).
