(ANSA) – NORCIA (PERUGIA), 02 MAR – “From Norcia, from the city of San Benedetto, I ask that my country be admitted to the European Union”: this is the appeal that Nataliya Tetyuk, Ukrainian from Ternopil, for 20 years in Italy, she has been launching Sae from her cottage where she lives, together with her husband Antonio, since 2017, after the earthquake destroyed their home a year earlier. An appeal that starts from the city of the patron saint of the continent. “For Ukraine, entering Europe is the only way to safety, there is no going back”, adds the woman.
“How do you survive the earthquake, Covid and now the war? With courage and love”, Nataliya told ANSA. “Seeing pictures of my bombed country causes me pain and scares me for my mom, my sister, my niece who still live in Ukraine,” she adds. Telling that “my mom Dana has decided to stay inside her house and even when the alarm sirens are activated she never goes out on the street anymore.
Fortunately, they are not bombing my city yet. “
Nataliya also explains that she was “surprised by the whole world that sided with my Ukraine, we hope it will be enough to stop Putin”. (HANDLE).
