(ANSA) – ANCONA, 07 MAR – “The Marches are ready to provide concrete assistance and solidarity to Ukrainian citizens fleeing the war”. According to the ordinance n. 872 of the Head of the National Civil Protection Department, implemented by all Regions, which identifies in the presidents of the regional councils the Commissioners for the implementation of the urgent provisions concerning the reception, rescue and assistance to the Ukrainian population, the president of the Marche Region Francesco Acquaroli, in agreement with the councilor for Civil Protection Stefano Aguzzi, signed the decree appointing the manager of the Marche Civil Protection Stefano Stefoni as responsible for coordinating the working group.

“It is now urgent – explains the commissioner Aguzzi – to create the working group, which will involve numerous departments of the Marche Region, Anci and Prefectures: the head of the regional civil protection will prepare a deliberative act for this purpose which will be brought to the council on Wednesday afternoon “.

The Region has already taken steps to bring aid and organize the reception of any refugees: “a first truck of medicines and medical equipment left on Friday and another one bound for the Polish border will leave in the next few days.
