(ANSA) – BOLZANO, APRIL 28 – The South Tyrolean councilor Thomas Widmann unexpectedly announced a press conference for tomorrow morning, at 9 am, shortly before the session of the provincial council which will have to vote on his exit from the junta.
A month ago the governor Arno Kompatscher had withdrawn the competences from Widmann after the publication of an investigation book with wiretapping on the Sad case, the company that for many years managed the local public transport in South Tyrol. Widmann, however, did not resign, demanding passage to the provincial council, which had appointed him. For this reason Kompatscher has called for an extraordinary session of the provincial council for tomorrow to vote on the reduction of the council from nine to eight councilors. In recent days, the SVP had instructed its representatives to vote in favor. The vote in the classroom will be clear. (HANDLE).
