(ANSA) – ORISTANO, MAY 13 – Now it is really official: the mayoral candidate of the center-right for the municipalities in Oristano, the only Sardinian provincial capital to vote on June 12, is the outgoing deputy mayor Massimiliano Sanna (Riformatori).
In truth, the citizen table of the coalition had already reached this result last Tuesday, but then the name of Sanna had been called into question especially at the level of the regional coalition table. In the end, UDC leader Giorgio Oppi, who was in Oristano today, explained to ANSA to better facilitate the management of the table, “the mediation of the President of the Region has led to the unity of the coalition on Sanna”.
For the election day of 12 June, when the referendum on justice will also be voted on, about 200,000 Sardinians residing in 65 municipalities will go to the polls to renew their councils and mayors. The lists can be presented until 12 noon tomorrow. (ANSA).
