Cannabis: Commission ok, home cultivation decriminalized

Drought, Coast:

Green light from the Justice Commission of the Chamber to the bill that decriminalizes the domestic cultivation of four seedlings.

“Well, I am satisfied with the work and dialogue between the groups that led to the green light for the pdl that decriminalizes the home cultivation of four cannabis plants: a way to support those who use them therapeutically and to take away land from the shop. “. This was announced with a note by Mario Perantoni, president of the Chamber’s Justice Commission, M5S deputy and rapporteur of the provision.

“Among the other innovations that strengthen the structure of the initial project – continues Perantoni – I point out: the prison sentences for the sale of small amounts of cannabis go down from the current 4 years to two years and two months; the consolidation of a principle already contained in the basic text, that is, the transfer of drugs to minors by older people can never be considered a ‘minor fact’; the establishment of a national day on the damages deriving from alcoholism, smoking, use of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances to be held every beginning of the school year in first and second grade institutions. Thanks to the constructive contribution of all our colleagues we have written a very balanced and concrete text that meets the needs of a very large part of society without compromising the need for rigor in combating the spread of drugs “.
