LETTA: THE LARGE FIELD WINS – “The comment is that in the end linearity and seriousness pay: we win because responsibility is more important than everything, in this difficult moment we need a serious and linear policy. The wide field has been mocked but this strategy pays . The center-right loses badly for incredible choices, choosing exiles from the center-left, I’m thinking of Catanzaro. ” This was stated by the leader of the Democratic Party, Enrico Letta al Nazareno.

VERONA – Damiano Tommasi, from the center left, is the new mayor of Verona. MONZA – Paolo Pilotto is the new mayor of Monza. LUCCAMario Pardini, the unified candidate of the center-right, is the new mayor of Lucca after a long head-to-head against the center-left candidate Francesco Raspini. Pardini, entrepreneur, former president of Lucca Crea (the investee company that organizes Lucca Comics and games), won with 50% in front of his opponent, outgoing municipal councilor who had finished the first round with 42, 65%. Initially Pardini was also ahead of the ballot and then suffered the ‘overtaking’ of Pardini.

PIACENZA – The Democratic Party and the center-left reconquer Piacenza: the regional councilor Katia Tarasconi in fact won the ballot against the outgoing mayor, Patrizia Barbieri of the center-right. Tarasconi was already in the lead, by two points, after the first round: a consolidated advantage that was extended to the second round that elected her. By scrutiny still to be completed Tarasconi is around 53%.

PARMA – Michele Guerra is the new mayor of Parma: the center-left candidate, with the ballot almost completed, is in fact firmly in the lead (around 65%) with respect to his challenger, former mayor Pietro Vignali, supported by the center-right. Guerra is in continuity with his predecessor Federico Pizzarotti, of whom he was councilor for culture. In the War coalition there is also the Democratic Party: the main center-left party returns to be part of the majority that governs Parma after 24 years of opposition. “It’s a great result of a cohesive project that won’t disappoint the city,” he said.

ALEXANDRIAGiorgio Abonante (Democratic Party) is the new mayor of Alexandria ,. When the result of 4 sections out of 93 is now missing, it is over 54% against 45.5% of the outgoing mayor, Gianfranco Cuttica di Revigliasco. The city then returns to the center-left after five years of center-right leadership.

COMO – Alessandro Rapinese is the new mayor of Como. In the ballot, the civic candidate surprisingly beat the center-left candidate Barbara Minghetti, who had finished the first round ahead. Two sections are missing from the conclusion of the ballot and the advantage is now unbridgeable. “I will continue to work for the city. Good luck to Alessandro”, comments Minghetti, admitting defeat.

GORIZIA – Rodolfo Ziberna, at the head of a center-right coalition, has been confirmed as mayor of Gorizia. There are still very few sections left at the end of the ballot, but the advantage over the challenger, the former senator of the Democratic Party Laura Fasiolo at the helm of a center-left alliance, is unbridgeable. In the first round Ziberna had reached 42.56%, Fasiolo 31.37%, separated by 1,664 votes. “I will expand the government structure in the presence of an external technician”, commented Ziberna, confirming the victory. During his administration, in 2025, Gorizia and Nova Gorica (Slovenia) will be the European Capital of Culture.

WEDGE – Patrizia Manassero is the first female mayor in the history of Cuneo. In the ballot, the confrontation with challenger Franco Civallero who for the first time in twenty years led the center-right to the second round easily won: the 28 percentage points of the groove dug on 12 June have increased again in a day also characterized by a thud in turnout – plunged from 36.73% to 54.51% on 12 June.

COLLAPSE OF THE INFLUENCE – The definitive figure of the turnout for the vote of the 59 municipalities in the ballot followed by the Viminale site (those of the special statute regions are missing), is 42.16%, a sharp decrease compared to 54.11% in the first round.
