The Superbonus blocks the aid, all for the trust except the 5s

Mutual tensions and accusations and the majority that is divided once again on the superbonus. The long day in the Chamber busy discussing the aid decree ends with nothing. A race against time given that the text must be converted into law by July 16 and the go-ahead for Palazzo Madama is still missing. The parties that support the government are in fibrillation and despite the fact that Palazzo Chigi has shown the maximum willingness to dialogue with the parties throughout the day, giving them all the time possible to avoid trust (as long as they find an agreement in due time) l understanding is not reached. And time is running out – it should be noted – for a measure worth more than 20 billion that must be disbursed in favor of the townspeople and the country system. A stalemate that is actually opening up the road to trust, despite the executive’s maximum willingness to avoid it.

Tension is sky high, with the Movement pointing its feet. The part concerning the superbonus, one of the flagship measures of the pentastellates, is questioning the green light. The meetings of the majority with the government all ended with a black smoke. The classroom will resume in a few hours preceded by a last negotiation to try to reach an agreement at the last minute that will bring everything together. The crux that is leading towards the crest of the vote of confidence would be the request of the pentastellates to modify the rule on the superbonus contained in the decree to which the Executive said no because, according to what is explained, there would be a problem of coverage ( about 3 billion) that are missing from the call.

The Minister for Relations with the Parliament Federico D’Incà, who in the evening, faced with the split of the majority, announces that it will now be decided with Palazzo Chigi how to go forward: “In close connection with the Prime Minister, I have probed all the forces of the majority to understand if it was possible to find an agreement to avoid asking the question of trust on the Aid decree. At this point the key to the problem is in the hands of the premier. Faced with the risk of the way of no return, the only way forward, it is pointed out in parliamentary circles, is that of putting trust in the government. One way, they explain, to avoid pleasing one party with respect to the others.

Matteo Salvini raised his voice. The leader of the League, meeting with his parliamentarians, highlighted how the executive applies “two weights and two measures”, and accuses the so-called “large field” of jeopardizing the approval of the provision. A position that the Democratic Party did not like: “It is the League that invents divisions – replied Dem sources – The Democratic Party works with seriousness and responsibility to approve the provision”. This picture makes Giuseppe Conte’s next face to face with the head of government more and more complicated. A meeting that, given the conditions, certainly starts uphill. At 1 pm the president of the pentastellati summoned the National Council of the Movement to take stock of the situation before the meeting with Draghi.

The League is also pulling the rope, which in addition to raising the bar again against the provisions on cannabis and the ius scholae, sets its feet against the taxi reform contained in the competition bill. The government has made it known, through Deputy Minister Bellanova, “that it is ready for dialogue without, however, abolishing the rule” but the party of via Bellerio warns: “This matter is finally out of the reforms envisaged by the government program and risks becoming a highly divisive issue”.
