The imprisoned Russian Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny has been classified as a terrorist by a prison committee by his own account. At the same time, Navalny said on Monday through his lawyers on Instagram that he is no longer assuming an increased risk of escape. He welcomed this because it would reduce the number of nightly inspections. „Only now there’s a sign above my bed saying I’m a terrorist.“
The authorities did not initially provide a statement. At the end of September it became known that a committee of inquiry had started a new investigation against the 45-year-old.
