On the occasion of the summer days of rebellious France in the Drôme, Jean-Luc Mélenchon spoke after two months of absence. He did not hesitate to scratch President Emmanuel Macron concerning his visit to Algeria but also on the strategies of the executive to deal with future gas shortages.

The left is back to school. While the socialists met in Blois, in the presence in particular of Carole Delga, president of the Occitanie region, Jean-Luc Mélenchon gave a speech on the occasion of the summer days of rebellious France in the Drôme . The former deputy, who still retains a certain leadership with the Insoumis, clearly announced the color by attacking President Emmanuel Macron head-on.

“It’s going to be the general battle. There is no possible arrangement with us. No concessions, no arrangements. The battle will be there, it will be determined and probably quite frontal since Mr. Macron has decided to be, frontal,” he said.

“He only does stupid things”

This frontal duel, Jean-Luc Mélenchon opens it on the memorial journey of Emmanuel Macron in Algeria. An initiative to which the rebellious leader tastes very little. “He got himself into an inescapable thing. He doesn’t understand anything about the relationship between the Algerians and the French. He doesn’t understand anything. So he got there in the middle, playing smart and putting money back oil on the fire. If he wants to keep quiet on this subject, it would suit us, “he asserts.

Still on the subject of this trip to Algeria and in the face of future gas shortages, the rebellious leader rebukes the Head of State’s supply strategy. “He wasted our time because, fundamentally, he has a dominating mentality. You have to start from a simple idea: the Algerians have interests and we, the French, have interests and we discuss with the Algerians at equality. He does nothing but foolishness,” said the former deputy. At 71, Jean-Luc Mélenchon therefore begins this return to school more motivated than ever.
