According to the Ukrainian energy supplier Energoatom, there are signs of a possible withdrawal of Russian troops from the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.
“In fact, for several weeks we have been receiving information that there are signs that they may be preparing to withdraw,” Energoatom boss Petro Kotin said on Ukrainian television.
He refers to Russian media reports in which a possible transfer of control of the power plant to the International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA is described as worthwhile.
Russia took control of the Ukrainian power plant in March. It will continue to be run by Ukrainian staff. (Reuters)
