Pension reform: 310 arrests this Thursday in France, according to Gérald Darmanin

Gérald Darmanin announced this Thursday the arrest of 310 people during the demonstrations which followed the government’s recourse to article 49.3 for the adoption of the pension reform. If the Minister of the Interior considered that the demonstrations are legitimate, he deplored the “bordélisation”.

A total of 310 people were arrested this Thursday in France, including 258 in Paris during demonstrations against the government’s recourse to 49.3 for the adoption of the disputed pension reform, Gérald Darmanin announced on Friday.

“The opposition is legitimate, the demonstrations are legitimate, the brothel or the bordélisation not”, continued on RTL the Minister of the Interior, denouncing in particular “burnt effigies” in Dijon and “targeted prefectures” at the end day Thursday. “The squares of churches and villages are not ZADs!” he said.
